The Opportunity

 

Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a New Store Onboarding Intern. In this role, you will support company new stores by coordinating initial product ordering, load-in of indirect supplies, and setup of utilities and services enabling a seamless Day One operations and the customer experience. Indirect supplies include tools, uniforms, safety PPE, janitorial, etc. Services include uniforms, trash, safety programs, etc. Expect to support multiple new store projects at a time while managing activities across several internal business groups, and external vendors.

 

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Coordinate the timely ordering and delivery of product, indirect supplies and services to new company-operated stores as dictated by the Valvoline Retail Services new store pipeline.
  • Work primarily with Operations, Customer Experience, and Procurement teams to ensure standard item catalogs and vendor portfolios are maintained to support on-boarding needs, efficiency, and quality.
  • Contribute to improvements that drive efficiencies with onboarding processes related to indirect supplies and services. Lend support to programs such as store-in-a-box (store operating supplies, uniforms, and trash pick-up).
  • Upon request, provide similar support to franchisees with their new store onboarding activities, and other teams within the Central Operations group.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university
  • Aptitude for project management
  • General business knowledge and understanding of financial cost control concepts
  • Self-motivated, independent thinker, possess effective communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems preferred
  • Must be authroized to work in the U.S.
