The Opportunity

Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Controllership Intern. In this role, you will support professional financial reporting work involving financial data, external reporting, and financial control evaluation. This intern will be responsible for activities including the research of various sub-ledger and general ledger accounts, tying out financial data, and financial control projects. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in financial reporting, SEC reporting and compliance/internal controls, supporting external and internal audit processes, and financial systems, including SAP, Blackline, Workiva, Auditboard, and more. 

 

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Perform review and/or analysis of financial data.
  • Assist with project management and organization of ongoing financial projects.
  • Tie out financial statements and related data to the underlying source of record.
  • Assist with projects related to financial software, including Auditboard, Blackline, Workiva, SNAP, or SAP.
  • Assist with internal control processes or projects.
  • Other reporting and accounting tasks as needed.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Must be actively pursuing a degree at a college or university
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge/experience with financial software is preferred
  • Ability to lift 5 lbs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
